The camera system sees important improvements. The S24 Ultra uses a new 50-megapixel telephoto lens. This replaces the 10-megapixel lens on the S23 Ultra. It allows for higher quality zoom photos at 5x magnification. The S22 Ultra also had a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The main sensor stays at 200 megapixels. It is similar to the S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra. Low-light photos should be sharper now. Video capture gets an upgrade too. All cameras support 4K recording at 60 frames per second. This matches the S23 Ultra but beats the S22 Ultra’s capabilities.
The display is another area of change. The S24 Ultra screen measures 6.8 inches. This is the same size as the S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra. The peak brightness is much higher now. It reaches 2600 nits. The S23 Ultra peaked at 1750 nits. The S22 Ultra was lower still. This makes the screen easier to see outdoors. The glass is flatter on the S24 Ultra. This reduces glare compared to the curved edges on the S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra. It also helps the S Pen work better near the edges.
